I made a 2008 resolution to blog about every event I attend.

South by Southwest is arguably the best interactive media conference in the world. It takes place in Austin, Tx. in March, and every year it gets better.

Last night, they hosted a networking reception at the Sip Bar & Lounge in North Beach.

There were a lot of people there, and they offered free drinks.

I finally met Maya Baratz from Flickr.

Terry Chay and Cindy Burton were also in attendance. I actually got the invitation from Evil Cindy.

The lovely Linda Chan from Powerset was there too:

Two ladies at the bar were playing on their iPhones. I saw them on Facebook, so I took the opportunity to hand them a Moo card. I told them to add me on Facebook, and then I could tag them in this photo:

Hasn’t happened yet.

Joel B. Sacks dragged me to this event, and I am glad I came. Special thanks to the SxSW hosts for providing drinks and entertainment.

I really wish I could afford to go to SxSW, but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen this year.
