I am always trying to move my friends over to use Twitter to update their status. I love Facebook’s status feature, but I don’t have time to log into Facebook 10 times a day.
I created a Twitter bot to syndicate my friend’s Facebook status RSS feed.
I also really like using Twitterrific, and I already feel more connected to my social graph after using it for half a day. Simply create a new account at Twitter and name it anything you want. You can choose to be its sole follower, or allow your friends to follow it.
Next, goto twitterfeed.com, login with OpenID, and enter your login information for your new Twitter bot. This XML-to-tweet application allows you to control how often you send status updates to Twitter. You can choose to get as many as five updates every 30 minutes, or as few as one update a day. It works nicely, and even converts Twitter’s AdSensed status page to a tinyURL. My bot is configured to update Twitter three times every hour.
And, your Facebook friend’s names will not be indexed by Google if you choose to keep your updates private.
Okay, I won’t say Twitter or Facebook for a while now

Great tip! I wish Facebook enabled more parts of the site with feeds though.
I know its probably not a huge deal, but you just made all your friends’ status updates public by publishing that RSS feed. Aren’t you worried some of your friends might not want their status updates viewable by everyone on the internet? Or… at least everyone who visits this page.
